Welcome to Our School
Welcome to Everbrook Academy in Waxhaw, NC. Our STEAM curriculum brings the world into every classroom. Here, your child will discover integrated, hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math.
We offer premium Infant and Toddler care, Preschool and Pre-K, and Junior Kindergarten programs. Our school is so much more than a day care! Every teacher in every classroom uses the same set of developmental milestones to observe and assess each child’s learning and growth. Through our unique Cycle of Intentional Planning, teachers use these assessments—as well as knowledge of the children’s interests—to customize weekly lesson plans. This way, learning goals are personalized for every child!
We also broaden each child's learning through Curiosity Cadets. This program features four enrichment experiences throughout the year. In addition, we offer several elective programs to introduce children to a variety of experiences (Spanish, yoga, and more) beyond the daily classroom curriculum.
In The Brook, our all-ages community activity room, you’ll find an interactive virtual playground, books and cozy reading nooks, and STEAM zones for robotics, coding, and more. Step outside and discover some outdoor fun with our playground and age-appropriate playscapes. STEAM-inspired play systems and components help children to develop their skills and abilities while having fun.

Heather Smith, Principal
Education: Bachelor's of Science in Psychology
Certifications: CPR/First Aid, ITs SIDS, Playground Safety, Administrator 3
I have been in the early childhood field for ten years now and absolutely love working with and educating young minds! I am a wife and mother to two precious little ones. I am honored to be the Principal here at Everbrook of Waxhaw and look forward to overseeing the education and safety of our building. Here at Everbrook Waxhaw we work hard to create a unique and safe learning environment to foster the learning of children at a young age.

I am very proud to be the Assistant Director at Everbrook. I have been in early childhood for six years and at Everbrook for three of those years. I have an associate's in Early Education and am working toward my Bachelor's. I have three children, James, Paisley, & Liam who each attend Everbrook! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family or baking! I look forward to continuing to help our school grow and foster an enviorment where our early learners can thrive.

I have been in the early childcare field for over ten years and now with Everbrook for two years! I love teaching and inspiring young minds to become creative thinkers and independent learners. I am so excited to be the Team Lead here at the Everbrook of Waxhaw. My top priority is to create a warm and caring environment that fosters growth and education for the student's in our care.
